This Privacy Policy explains what information GetFOSS ("we", "us", "this website") collects when you visit getfoss.org, why we collect it and what we do with it. We built this website to be as lightweight and privacy-friendly as possible, and we collect the minimum amount of data needed to understand how the site is used.

Who We Are​

GetFOSS is an independent editorial website that publishes reviews, guides and articles about Free and Open Source Software. You can reach us at any time at admin@getfoss.org.

Information We Collect​

Information you provide voluntarily. This website does not require registration and does not have user accounts. The only personal data we receive directly is the information you choose to send us by email, such as your email address and the content of your message.

Automatically collected technical data. Like almost every website, our hosting infrastructure processes standard server log data (IP address, browser type, date and time of the request) for security and troubleshooting purposes. In addition, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. What we do not collect. We do not sell personal data. We do not run advertising networks on this site. We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not ask you for your name, address or payment details.

How We Use Information​

We use the collected data only to operate and secure the website, to understand which topics are useful to readers so we can improve the content, and to measure overall traffic and performance. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or advertising profiling.
